Husarenkrapferln in German but maybe Angel Eyes sounds cooler. They’re small jam filled cookies.
Ingredients
240g flour
70g white sugar
2 egg yokes
1 egg white
140g butter
chopped nuts (hazel/almond/walnuts) (optional)
redcurrant jam
icing sugar
pinch of salt
Directions
Mix flour, sugar and salt.
Mix in egg yolk.
Cut in cold butter and knead into a smooth dough
Rest dough in fridge for at least half an hour
Roll dough into small balls and press little dips into the top witht he hande of a cooking spoon (or a pen)
Brush each cookie with egg white and sprinkle with chopped nuts
Bake at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes
Fill the “dips” with jam and once cooled dust with icing sugar
