Hazelnut Meringue

Light airy hazelnut cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites

  • 210g white sugar

  • 210 ground hazelnuts (we usually grind these ourselves with a food processor)

  • whole hazelnuts

Directions

  1. Beat egg whites and sugar untill stiff peaks form.

  2. Gently fold in the ground hazelnuts.

  3. With a spoon form small heaps of batter on a baking sheet.

  4. Top each “heap” with one whole hazelnut.

  5. Bake at 150 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
